Listen, Go, and Do.

And the Lord said to him, "Get up and go to the street called Straight, and
inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is
praying." (Acts 9:11)

The abiding "Amen"

Have you ever been praying and forgotten to say "Amen" at the end?  I mean in finishing the prayers that happen throughout your day, at the office or in the car, just talking to Jesus because you can. I have, a ton of times.

I used to think that if I didn't say the word "Amen" out loud the prayer didn't count, but that is nonsense. I am not saying that the emphatic "Amen" at the end of an earnest prayer is not powerful or useful, only that verbalising it is not always a requirement. Why? For two very important reasons:

1. Jesus is Himself "The Amen" (Revelation 3:14)

2. As "The Amen", the Faithful and True Witness, Jesus lives in us every moment through the person of The Holy Spirit.

So don't ever beat yourself up over a word. God knows and hears the emphatic "Amen" of our hearts even if we sometimes forget to speak it audibly. (1 Corinthians 2:10-13, 1 Samuel 16:7, Jeremiah 17:10, Proverbs 21:2)

"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth... you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. (John 14:16-18 NASB)
