Listen, Go, and Do.

And the Lord said to him, "Get up and go to the street called Straight, and
inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is
praying." (Acts 9:11)

Connecting The Dots - Week 7 Notes (Grace)

Connecting The Dots Week 7

                “Grace

Key VerseFor by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of Godnot as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

If surrender to God is a vehicle to our intimacy with Him,then His Grace is the GPS. It locates us spiritually and is His unmerited favor that opens the eyes of our hearts to a need for Salvation. Apart from Grace we would be otherwise unaware, by Grace we able to see our brokenness. By Grace we see the Love of God. By Grace we are spared.

But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.” (Hebrews 7:7)

“Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25)

God’s Grace is also His promise; if we know Jesus as Savior, nobody and nothing can ever get to us until it comes through Him first. That is such a blessed assurance, such a confidence, such a wonderful Hope.

“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” (Ephesians 3:12)

Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

Grace is what God does, what God gives; it is the absolute assurance of His mercy and His help when we are unable to bear up under our burdens for one more moment. His Grace is the Joy of Salvation, our strength to stand in any and every circumstance. (Psalms 51:10-12), (Nehemiah 8:10)

“And He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.” (Psalms 28:7)

Finally, Grace is yet another of God’s unshakeable promises to us. We deserve nothing, He gives us everything. Grace is the masterful hand of The Potter to mold each one of us, a misshapen vessel, on His wheel into a masterpiece that bears His Name.

“The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord saying, “Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will announce My words to you.” Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something on the wheel. But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make.” (Jeremiah 18:1-4)

“For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me” (Romans 15:18)
