Listen, Go, and Do.

And the Lord said to him, "Get up and go to the street called Straight, and
inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is
praying." (Acts 9:11)

Connecting the Dots - Week 2 (10/06/14) "Love"

Hello all! Our first adventure into the immediate reality of God's Living Word will be "Love". Specifically,"What is Love?", "God as Love" and "How we Love".

Key Scripture: “We love because he first loved us.”  (1 John 4:19)

For those of you who missed the first week I have included the Introduction to our group below for you to read through. Looking forward to digging in, I pray the favor and blessing of God over your week until we meet again!

Connecting The Dots

Welcome! Glad you decided to take the leap and get plugged-in to our group. For those who didn’t read about us in The Bridge church bulletin I wanted to sort of give an overview of what our objectives are moving forward. When God put it on my heart to do this it was coming from a place of wanting to share His Word in way that would be relatable and easy to understand. I believe God’s desire is that we all see and know His Word as it applies to our daily lives, so that when we leave here we are able to speak His Truth and His promises with confidence and boldness over every part of our lives. When we are able to do that boldly, with full assurance, His power is released and the way we view ourselves and everything around us is transformed.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

I also wanted to let you know up front that all of the teaching and application will originate from an affirmation on my part that the entire Bible is the flawless, Divinely inspired, Word of God. Believing that is not a requirement, but you are probably going to have a really hard time taking anything useful away if you don’t.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

“Every word of God is flawless” (Proverbs 30:5)

Another important thing I want to get straight up front: This is an open group, a safe environment where you can feel free to speak and not be judged. Every single person here began from the same place, and whatever your level of Faith you will be, above all, welcomed and Loved during the time you spend here. My goal is, through the Life of Jesus alive in me, to equip you and build you up, no more no less.

“Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.” (Romans 14:4)

“Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.” (Romans 2:1)

Not one of us are perfect people, only saints of God saved by His Grace through Jesus Christ.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

So, all you need to bring is a Bible (or Bible App), and a heart to hear what God has for you!
