"Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)
"Every word of God is flawless"(Proverbs 30:5)
What breaks the Heart of God? How can we know? There are really only two ways we can know with any certainty.
1. By what we can see in The Bible
Unbelief breaks the Heart of God: (John 12:47-49)
Sin breaks the Heart of God: (Romans 1:20-32)
Disobedience breaks the Heart of God: (Proverbs 1:23-25, 27-33)
2. The convictions of our hearts in relationship with Him as they align with His Words: (1 Corinthians 2:6-16)
Lot's of people throw the idea of "God" around but impose their own presuppositions about concepts like "Right", "Wrong", "Good", "Evil", "Joy", "Harm", etc... upon Him apart from any other source save their own whims.
So then the question really is do we get to define those things or does God?
Think of it this way; for anything to be a fixed point of reference (something by or from which you can navigate) it absolutely must have two distinct qualities.
1. It must be separate from and other than you.
2. It must be immovable.
If not, then may as well all grab a rubber ball, throw it up in the air and play spiritual Jumbo Jacks.
"let God be found true, though every man be found a liar" (Romans 3:4)
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself." (2 Timothy 2:13)
